A detailed cleaning request is easier to estimate when the company knows what the surface is, where it is and how it can be reached. The phrase cleaning extras can cover many different tasks. A short surface and access note helps make those tasks specific before the visit.
Describe what you know
Record the room, surface and concern. If you know the material or finish, include that information and any manufacturer care instructions you have. If you do not know, say so. A clear description is more useful than guessing at a treatment or promising that a mark will disappear.
Identify access limits
Explain whether belongings block the work area or the task involves height, tight spaces or moving furniture. Ask what access the cleaning company requires and which tasks it accepts. Do not assume the team will move heavy items or perform work outside the agreed scope.
Discuss specific extras
Appliance interiors, cabinet interiors, window details and other tasks should be confirmed individually. Ask what preparation you need to complete and what limitations apply. An extra should appear in the written scope when agreed, along with any relevant exclusion or condition.
Share previous concerns
If a finish has existing damage or reacted poorly to a product before, explain that before the appointment. Share relevant care information privately with the provider. Avoid testing an unfamiliar method just to prepare for the visit. The purpose of this guide is to organize the discussion, not prescribe a chemical or cleaning treatment.
Confirm expectations before work begins
Record the result you hope for and ask what is realistic. Cleaning, restoration and repair are different services. Some marks may remain, and the provider should have enough information to discuss limits before you book.
The Surface and Access Notes worksheet gives you one place to describe each task and attach appropriate photos. Bring your priorities to a Spotlessly Clean estimate discussion so the work can be reviewed for scope, suitability and availability.
